Message from the Chaplain
Dear Lakewood Family,
Welcome to another wonderful season at Lakewood Campground Ministry! Whether you’re spending a week with us or have called Lakewood your summer home for years, we’re grateful that God has brought you here.
Our prayer is that your time at Lakewood will be more than just a vacation; it will be an opportunity to encounter the hope, peace, and love found in Jesus Christ. Through our worship services, Kids Club, Bible studies, gospel concerts, and family events, our desire is to share the good news of the gospel and encourage believers in their walk with the Lord.
I invite you, your family, and your friends to join us at one of our ministry events while you’re here. We’d love the opportunity to worship with you, meet you, pray for you, and encourage you in any way we can.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you. We pray your stay is refreshing, memorable, and filled with God’s blessings.

Ministry Highlights
Salvations
We praise God for the incredible work He has been doing through our Beach Party ministry this summer! Since June, we have held Beach Parties twice each week, with only three events canceled due to weather.
By God’s grace, every Beach Party has resulted in first-time decisions to trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. What an amazing testimony to His faithfulness and the power of the Gospel!
In addition, many others have come forward asking for prayer as they repent, recommit their lives to Christ, and seek to walk more faithfully with Him each day.
Please continue praying for these new believers and for all those whom God is drawing to Himself. We rejoice in every life being transformed and give all the glory to God alone!
Baptisms
We praise God for the privilege of celebrating baptism this summer!
A father publicly professed his faith in Jesus Christ and followed through with believer’s baptism, surrounded by his wife and children as they witnessed this meaningful step of obedience. Following the baptism, we had the opportunity to pray over him and commission him to live a life devoted to the Lord, faithfully leading and serving his family for the glory of Christ.
Moments like these remind us that baptism is a beautiful testimony of God’s saving grace and a public declaration of a life made new in Christ. We thank God for His continued work in transforming lives and strengthening families through the gospel.
Worship Services
God continues to bless our Sunday Worship Services and our Children’s Church services, as campers and guests gather each week to worship Him, hear the preaching of His Word, and enjoy fellowship with one another.
Throughout the summer, we have seen lives encouraged and hearts touched through Christ-centered worship and the faithful preaching of Scripture. We are grateful for the many opportunities to proclaim the gospel and strengthen believers in their walk with the Lord.
We are thankful for God’s continued faithfulness and look forward to all He will do in the weeks ahead.
After Labor Day, we will return to one service at 10:00 AM. We will remain outside in the Amphitheater for service until October.

Our current study is on the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Rome. Please come and join us!
Gospel Music Concerts
Every Friday night from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.
Concerts start at 8:00 PM, but will be changing to 7:00 PM for the 2027 concert season.
